Sharing the Creative Spirit

Peggy New and her Wine Lights!
Pat the Poet/Patricia Robinson
The morning of the 2011 Equinox Art & Music Fest was blessed with blustery spring breezes and the poetry of Pat the Poet, Patricia Robinson. Throughout the day the live music was fresh and hip, with a soulful rhythm and a rockin' beat, salted and peppered with everything in between from acoustic Americana to Country.
Brian Roessler/Acoustic Americana

When you see Brian Roessler, please thank him in person for the awesome lineup of entertainment he presented. A special thanks goes out to our local artists and musicians as well for sharing their creative energy and their original works of art. Also, a big thank you to everyone who came out to support the arts and help keep the creative spirit alive! Planning is underway now for our next event the, "Live Oak Art Festival" on  October 1st! Here are a few of the 875 pictures I took that day.

Invest in the Arts

If you do not have performing and visual arts, you don't have a complete community. Both public and private entities must invest in the arts to enhance a community's quality of life and its appearance. Performing and visual arts play a key role in making our city a wonderful place to live.
